Life In Details Challenge - September

This is the 4 x 6 card I have made for the Life In Details Blog Challenge.

I have used the required recipe;
Washi, Flair (Thanks Sarah for telling me what this was!!!!), Bling, Wood Veneers & 2 different patterned papers.

Thanks for the challenge I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sue's Sketch Challenge

This is my Lo for Sue's lovely challenge over on her blog, Me & Mine

Charlotte and George are at the same school again, only for 1 year but it's nice for George to see his sister about the place when he's just started. George is in the new uniform which Year 11's don't have to wear (conveniently) and so Charlotte has gone back in what was her regular uniform of polo shirt and jumper.

Geocaching

George and I have taken up Geocaching.

For more info about the subject click here. We haven't been away this summer as I have been working, to get us out and about I got the geocache app after doing a few without it to see if we liked it.  Well we love it, we've found 9 so far and have had a lot of fun out and about in our local area. The good thing is they are country and world wide so we could do it anywhere we happen to be.

Our first find.                                                                      Searching for a cache.

Investigating a cache.

We are going to leave Lego bricks or Lego footballs in there as our trademark thing!!!
Very well hidden, but we got there in the end.

I have made a tag book to record our finds, I decided on a tag book so that I can                                                    add to it as we find more, I've already added 2 more pages since I                                                                                                       took the photo!!!

Washi Washi & more Washi!!

So happy with my parcel today, I bought some Washi tape from a lady on the marketplace on uks.
I have gone from 5 reels of washi to 28 reels of Washi!!

I try and buy a little something from the town when Charlotte rows in a regatta and when we were in Worthing for Worthing Town regatta the Sunday before last I bought this very cute beach hut box which most of my Washi's fit in.

Sue's Sketch Challenge

This is the Layout I have done for Sue's Sketch Challenge I needed to do a multiphoto LO so this sketch was perfect. Charlotte's rowing regattas always result in a lot of photos!

Find Your Voice

I'm going to have a go at this, lots would say I don't need any help finding my voice!!

I'm however hoping that it will help me with storytelling for my scrapbooking projects and my project life pages.

This class starts Monday and I'm really looking forward to it.

George's return and Reception Class

A couple of photos from last week,

George went (Mon) and came back (Fri) from his school residential trip, he had a fab time and did a lot of outward bound activity. Raft building, zip wiring, giant swing, orienteering, etc.
We made him a welcome home poster and were so excited when the coach came round the corner.

I made a card for my neighbour's sons class to give to their reception teacher. Their class is Cherry class so obviously cherries had to feature and they wanted it personalised with her name.

They were very happy with it so that was good.

Sue's sketch challenge

Here is the Layout I have done following Sue's sketch.

I love this photo because it was so funny taking it, Daisy was paying attention but the boys were too busy asking where we were going in it, it was very funny!!! I just needed an excuse to get in it & have my picture taken, I've walked past it loads and been tempted!!!!

A few Layouts!!

Here are the weekly challenge Lo's for the last 2 weeks, finally I got round to taking a photo of them.

Georges Year 6 photo, it's nice because you get an individual one and a class one (covered up) It's a nice reminder for him of his primary school years.

This weeks challenge is this swingball layout, it's very basic because I wanted to do it but was in a rush!!!

The kids have had a great time playing swingball together this week so it was a worthwhile buy.

This last double Lo, is using some of the many photos I took at Charlottes first regatta last weekend in Bexhill. I've made a cut in the layout and a pocket on the back so that the programme could slip in so we have it to keep and it serves as the title!! It was such a brilliant day with her winning both her races a great achievement as this was her first regatta and her first ever races.

Finished Accordian Book & Beat The Christmas Rush

This morning, I finally finished my book to put the photos of George & I's trip to London to watch the Marathon.

This afternoon I joined in with my friend Sue's Beat The Christmas Rush. Now I've been naughty the last 2 months and not done my cards, so I've done 10 today & will do 10 next month then Ill be all caught up. I know I'll be pleased with myself if I keep it up all year!!!

Here are my cards, I'm using up some paper and card bases that I'm not over keen on!!!!
I do however think the stamp is so cute!

Project Life, Lovely Stuff.

After seeing people in the US on the facebook project life page I belong to getting lovely project life stuff I was beginning to get jealous!! Then I found this beautiful collection of stuff on ebay(£5!!!), I was so excited when I received it, it is going to be fab on my Project Life and scrapping.

Sunday 19 May 2013

My Layout for this weeks challenge on uks I used a photo of George that popped up on facebook from a few years ago because someone commented on it. He was such a funny little thing, reluctant to have his photo taken & wearing his half smile. Bless him.  The journalling says, George at Euro Disney. Fun, Parades, Good times & Lollipops as big as your head!! He couldn't believe his luck when I let him have it.

My second layout this weekend was for the monthly challenge on uks, two photos of Charlotte and myself the first when she was days old and the second at 15 yrs. How time flies, but she'll always be my baby girl.

Creative Craft World, April/May Mini Challenge

I've made the basics of this minibook for the photos from my daughter Charlottes rowing season in 2013. The challenge over on Creative Craft World  is to make something smaller than 12 x 12, with blues and browns as the theme.  This minibook measures 6 x 5, a somewhat unconventional size but the size of card I hard to hand for the cover!!! The majority of the book is brown and blue it now just needs some embellishment, photos and decorating as we go through the regatta season. The first race being the 11th May  at her home club of Shoreham.  Since being shown how to make these minibooks by my friends Sue, Jan & Jackie I seem to be making the for all occasions.

Project Life

I started Project Life on week 11, i will go back and catch up the previous weeks so hopefully if I keep up! I'll have a whole year done. I tend to only scrapbook the big things that happen and places we go to so it's been good to keep a record of the smaller day to day things that make up our everyday lives. I'm going to incorporate 12 x 12 scrapping into my Pl albums (when I decide what one I want).

I have mostly been using my own supplies as i'm trying to use some up before I buy any more, but I did suscribe to a it from kit from willow crafts.  Which I have enjoyed using.

Below are the pages  have done Week 11 - Week 16

Sunday 21 April 2013

Here is a card I made from a tutorial on a friends blog

http://susibee-susibee.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/a-quick-tutorial.html

My card is for a friend to give to a special friend on her 50th. Excuse the photo (especially Sue) I was in a rush and couldn't bear to wait to take it!! I hope she'll be pleased with it & thanks for the tutorial Susi I loved it & found it great to follow.

My first post! and some photos from George & I's trip to London. We went to watch the London Marathon and cheer 2 friends on who we saw & yelled for. I didn't get there photo as I was so busy cheering and yelling like a nutter, I did get a few others. George and I behaved like tourists (which we were) we don't feel like tourists as I lived in London  for a number of years and George was born there, so it feels like home to us both. The photos might be hickledy pickledy as I'm still learning how to put them on!!
